If you are an author who’s looking for affordable, professional input on your writing and your career, perhaps I can help. Here’s what I have to offer:
I’m an author who landed a contract with a major Christian publisher, without the benefit of a platform or an agent, and I've been told I’m a pretty good writer. I am a coach, not an editor. I won’t tell you if your participle is dangling but I will help you see the big picture with greater clarity than you could get on your own. My fee is straight-forward and affordable: For $75, I’ll read an extended sample of your work. Then we’ll talk about your strengths, weaknesses, and the next steps you need to take. I won’t try to sell you any other services or products. And if I’m not able to help, I won’t charge you. If you’re interested, you can learn more on the FAQ page or fill out the contact form below. Here is what others have said about my coaching:
“Josh Kelley's love for the Lord and his Biblical knowledge, combined with his own writing and publishing insight made him an excellent mentor and consultant when writing my own story.
I'd had many friends and paid editors read my memoir and I thought it was where I wanted it to be, but it was Josh who told me some hard truths about what it was lacking and how it could be better. His input was crucial and I'm so grateful for it! I know my memoir would not have been as widely loved had I not taken his advice!!! I highly recommend using him as a book consultant!” Amber Mauldin, author of Perfectly Broken
“As a coach, Josh took the time to see my heart which helped him help me draw out my voice. He then gave me a compliment, maybe two, and hammered me with some great ideas on how I could improve. I now feel mostly challenged, but also encouraged. I especially feel I have better tools to help me become a better writer in the future.” Jeff Enns, columnist, Sideroads of Caledon & King
