Does finishing your book feel more like
leaping the Grand Canyon than running a marathon?
As a writing coach, traditionally published author, and ghostwriter of ten books, I can help you overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles, including:
The details:
While I offer a variety of services (including full ghostwriting), I believe the best option for beginning and intermediate writers is my coaching package.
Think of it like hiring a craftsman to train you as you build your own house. The more work you do, the cheaper it will be, but I’ll always be there to lend a hand. If you want to speed things up or are struggling with a particular item, hand it off to me.
While every situation is different, we’ll typically start with the 10,000-foot view, looking at your goals as a writer and the purpose of the book. Then we’ll examine your concept and organize your material into a working outline. From there, we’ll work on making your writing clear, concise, and engaging.
Five hours may not seem like a lot, but I’m very efficient. I’ll keep the project in your hands and “off my clock.” And if you ever need more hours, they can be purchased for $150 an hour, in 15-minute increments. I don’t, however, give credit for unused hours. That’s motivation to keep moving forward!

Frequently Asked Questions:
Can you help me get published?
While I have been published and can help guide you through the proposal process, I don’t offer proposal writing services. Also, it’s vital to understand that traditional publishing is very, very difficult to break in to. You need a compelling concept, excellent writing, and a strong platform.
Do you help with marketing?
Nope, not my thing.
What genres do you work with?
Most any non-fiction, especially: business, communication, coaching, self-help, memoirs, Christian living, and Biblical studies. I can also help with fiction, but it’s not my strength. Poetry is pretty much a no go.
How about editing?
A big picture person, like myself, who can mentally organize 100,000 words of content, will be incapable of paying attention to details like commas and spelling. So, I’m a great line- and developmental-editor, but a lousy proofreader. Seriously, hire someone else for that. Good news: They’re a lot cheaper than I am.
