What would having a published book
mean to you and your business?
- Taking your career to the next level?
- Communicating vital truths to a larger audience?
- Fulfilling your personal mission or life-long ambition?
Maybe you’ve already tried to write a book but found it much more difficult than you thought— you struggled to organize your thoughts and the words on the page weren’t anything like the ones in your head. Or maybe the project felt so daunting you couldn’t get started.
If any of that describes you, please don’t feel bad. Writing a good book can be time-consuming and overwhelming for all but the most experienced writers. But, as a traditionally published author and professional ghostwriter with twenty books under my belt, I know how to quickly turn an idea into a high-quality book.
Ghostwriting is simply a partnership: You bring your wisdom and life experience and I bring my ability to draw out your thoughts and write them in a clear, engaging way, while retaining your unique personality.
This allows you to:
- Establish credibility and build authority by becoming a published author.
- Communicate your message and expertise in a memorable and compelling way.
- Have a book, written in your “voice,” that you are proud of and people want to read.
And means no more…
…waiting for “someday” when you’ll finally have enough time to write.
…putting off your book because you don’t know where to start.
…staring at a blank page as the hours turn into years.
…fearing that someone else will beat you to your great idea.
…worrying if your book will be “good enough” to sell you or your services.
(What if you want to write your own book, but need a little help staying on track? Click here to read about my coaching services.)
This is for leaders and influencers who:
1. Have an interesting idea they want turned into a book.
2. Are willing to follow my ghostwriting process.
3. Have an average of 2 hours per week to invest in their book.
4. Are a quality person that I’d look forward to working with (and vise versa!).
If that sounds like you, I’d like to offer a no-obligation consultation. We’ll see if I can help you develop your idea and then discuss my process. Even if we don’t end up working together, you’ll still walk away knowing more about writing and publishing.

The Process:
Every author is a little bit different and so are their books, but this represents my standard process:
As part of our work together, it will be your job to:
Please note: Because ghostwriting requires significant time and energy, I accept no more than two clients at a time.
- We conduct the initial interviews—ideally done onsite (that’s invaluable for truly capturing your personality on the page).
- I provide you with the outline and first chapter within 30-days.
- I continue writing and interacting with you as needed (average 1-2 hours a week).
- The first draft is finished 30-60 days later, and we fine-tune it with my structured editing approach.
- Your book will be delivered to you for final approval within 3-4 months of starting the project.
As part of our work together, it will be your job to:
- Show up to the scheduled calls to discuss your book.
- Respond to questions and request for edits in a timely manner.
- Be fully honest about what you do and don’t like.
Please note: Because ghostwriting requires significant time and energy, I accept no more than two clients at a time.
The Cost:
Every project is unique, and costs can range from $10,000 for a 50-page workbook based on well-developed material (such as a video course) to $65,000 for a 250-page book that requires significant development and an onsite visit (such as a memoir), $1-2 a word is a good rule of thumb.
My fees reflect the total cost for a complete, professionally written book that has been edited by a second party (no one should edit their own material!). I can work with you to create a payment plan, typically dividing it into four payments tied to specific milestones.
Note: You can find cheaper ghostwriters online. It all comes down to how good you want your book to be. This is what makes me worth my rates:

- Over fifteen years of professional writing experience, including a book that has been traditionally published and translated into German (copies available upon request)
- Nearly twenty ghostwritten books (with a combined average of 4.7 stars on Amazon), including one that has been traditionally published and another that was offered representation by a literary agent.
- The ability to ask probing questions and draw your message out.
- A back-and-forth relationship that ensures your book represents, and sounds like, you.
- Writing that is clear, concise, and engaging.

“I had the great pleasure of working with Josh on two separate writing projects. He has a great talent for listening, synthesizing and organizing information into a format that serves the reader well. Josh cares deeply for the person or group that he partners with on a project, and won’t rest until there is a finished product that all collectively delight in. His skills in ghostwriting and coaching others to write are strong, and I would highly recommend him to others in need of these services.”
